Radio Free Afghanistan - 2002 - 9785 Khz - Station Overview

In February 2002, the U.S. government re-launched Radio Free Afghanistan (now known as Radio Azadi,
part of
Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty). It utilized shortwave frequencies including 9785 kHz and 11920 kHz,
transmitted via international relay facilities  (such as Germany) to beam independent Dari and Pashto
news programming into Afghanistan
