"AI" Station Overview

The Famous 1977 Reception

A DXer managed to pick up a weak, unexpected  signal from the regional South Korean station on 2510 kHz.
The transmission was explicitly identified on-air in Korean as "KBS Daegu, HLKG".
Instead of receiving a standard printed card from a central office, the listener was sent a
warm, custom handwritten verification letter directly from the local station.
It was personally signed by Mr. Oh Kap-hwan, who was working as a TV transmitting engineer at the Daegu
branch at the time.

The 1977 QSL verification from KBS Daegu (HLKG) is widely considered a legendary and highly prized rarity
among long-distance radio listeners (DXers)
